(measurement is inner diameter of ring).
Because copper is a softer metal than both sterling silver and gold fill. There is less spring back and rings are marginally smaller than their sterling and gold fill equivalents. This can make a difference to the weaves which require a smaller and tighter aspect ratio (such as Jens Pind, where you should use the next size up to normal - i.e. 16g 3.75mm instead of 3.5mm).
